SIGNED CONTRACT FOR PREPARATION OF DESIGN DOCUMENTATION FOR SEVERAL BUILDINGS OF THE PENSION AND DISABILITY INSURANCE FOND OF SERBIA
Framework Agreement signed by EP UiA, as a member of a group of bidders, in the public procurement procedure in 2022. with the Pension and Disability Insurance Fond of the Republic of Serbia, provides for preparation of design documentation for several branches of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fond in different cities in Serbia. In August 2022, EP UiA started preparing design documentation for the branch building in Novi Beograd, which includes the preparation of Schematic Design and Construction Documentation.
The building of the Department I of Belgrade Branch is located at 10 Umetnosti Bulevard, on cadastral plot 1172/5 Cadastral Municipality Novi Beograd. It was built in two phases: first phase with the number of floors basement + ground floor+2 floors was built in 1986, whereas the extension of the third and fourth floor was executed in 2005.
Project Manager, Jelena Andjelkovic, M.Sc. (Arch.), specified the scope of activities: “Schematic Design of the reconstruction and the adaptation of this office building provides for a comprehensive reconstruction and adaptation, which implies removal of all floor, wall and ceiling layers and cladding, as well as full replacement of electrical installations, HVAC system installations, water supply and sewage system installations with partial installation of the missing part of the installations, hose reel system and telecommunication and fire alarm systems, in accordance with current laws, standards and code of practice. Reconstruction of the façade will change the external appearance of the building in the part of the new entrance into the Medical Expertise Block, as well as full replacement of façade elements and layers, for the purpose of increase of energy efficiency of the building”.
Schematic Design of the reconstruction and adaptation has not changed the gross area of the building or the use and functional organization of this office building.
A new entrance into the Medical Expertise Block is provided in the position of the existing garage, in order to facilitate access to persons with disabilities and ambulance vehicles with immobile patients. Four consulting rooms are provided within this block, as well as filing room counter, waiting room and sanitary block. Counter hall with 12 counters for visitors is provided on the ground floor. One counter is provided with access for persons with disabilities. Waiting area of the counter hall stretches along the entire height of the building with roof lantern. Each of the four floors contains offices and conference and meeting rooms, men’s and women’s toilets and toilets for persons with disabilities. Technical floor with roof access is provided above the fourth floor.
Preparation of Schematic Design and Construction Documentation for the First branch building in Belgrade were completed in the contracted short term, at the end of 2022.
